About Us
Where loving God and loving people is our calling. We are a body of believers that stand on the Word of God. We are a church that teaches chapter by chapter, verse by verse, through the Bible. We are living testimonies that God can raise a dead man to life, that He can save, transform and make us anew.
Come fellowship alongside us as we seek to reach the world for Christ and equip the saints for His service.

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."

Mark 16:15
Calvary Chapel Norwalk was birthed in prayer. What first began as a burden upon the heart of Pastor Brian Hernandez, and his wife, Theresa, led to small prayer meetings in a local park to seek God for His direction in the city of Norwalk. As a result of these prayer meetings, God led Pastor Brian to begin a small home Bible study. They quickly outgrew their space in a year’s time.
God then began to impress upon the hearts of Brian and Theresa the need to take a step of faith to rent a church facility, which is where you find Calvary Chapel Norwalk today. Located In the heart of central Norwalk in southeast Los Angeles, sits a church birthed in prayer, built upon prayer, and which continues to grow fervently in prayer.
We are a church committed to loving God and loving people. Our vision is to preach the gospel, (Mark 16:15), teach God's word to equip the Saints of God, (Ephesians 4:11, 12), and to reach out into the community to do our part in fulfilling the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19, 20). We make it our goal to continue to walk in the grace that saved us. We are broken men and women who once were lost, but yet God found us. We are men and women who have committed ourselves in the simplicity of Christ.
